Nachman was born in Israel, but grew up in Long Beach, New York. After his freshman year at Yeshiva University, he returned to Israel and completed his BA and MA in School Psychology at Bar-Ilan University. Nachman served two years in the Israeli Air Force Anti-Aircraft unit, including the Yom Kippur War and, later, one more year as an organizational psychologist in the Engineering Corps.

Nachman moved with his family in 1978 to Kiryat Arba, where he acted as Executive Director of the Ulpana Girls Academy for 16 years. He also served as Director of Public Relations for Mercaz Yeshivot Bnei Akiva for seven years. Since October 2012, he has been working as Director of Public Relations for Halacha Education Center.

Nachman currently resides in Maale Adumim. He is father of 6 and grandfather of 10, ken yirbu.
